My walk began in paradise, I was looking for you in the cool of
the day.
In the garden of delight, at the tree of life, I called your name,
you hid away.
Long before I called your name -I saw this day.
I made a promise to you, this will not be the end.
There is one who will come after you, he will make all of this
new.
Back in the garden this time Gethsemane, I went out to meet the
enemy.
They were dressed in their best religious disguise, they sought
me, and my demise.
Long ago a commitment was made, I have a promise to fulfill.
Faithful to my call, I walked to the top of the hill.
It is there that I died for you.
I paid the debt that was due.
The prophecy was true,
I have made all things new.
I was nailed to the tree of death, I have become the tree of
life!
